Audi RS7 Sportback packed with Twin Turbo V8 Engine

2012 Audi RS7 Sportback expected to be unveiled sometime in 2011, with sales beginning in early 2012. The exterior design will likely continue in the RS tradition of bigger is better. Expect to see an RS4 chin, RS5 grille, rotor 5-spoke RS style wheels, and chrome mirrors. And, of course, Audi’s usual Sprint Blue exterior color for the RS models will also be offered. The interior will combine both luxury and sportiness: expect sports seats, high quality leather, and different aluminum inserts.The Audi RS7 will come packing a new 4.0T FSI twin turbo V8 engine much like the one found on the Audi RS5. That engine comes packing 450hp and 317lb-ft of torque and is able to get from 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds. We expect similar results out of the RS7.There are also rumors suggesting that Audi will beef up the RS7 with a 580bhp version of Audi’s naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine in combination with the firm’s new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
