The Citroen car company has a very expansive history indeed and it is worth knowing some parts of this. They are all highly important and a car company like this one has such a fantastic past.
The company was of course founded by Mr Citroen in 1919 and was the first mass production car company outside of the USA. The main ethos of the company has always been to pioneer the modern car. It only took 8 years for their dreams to become a bit of a reality with Citroen becoming largest car manufacturer in Europe making them the 4th biggest in the world!. The whole slogan Creative Technologie came around because they were first becoming known for their innovations in engineering. Like many of the other big companies of this time era the early days were covered in war. In the first world war they heavily assisted in building armaments for France and after this war ended they had nothing to do. this really got them into heavily thinking about cars. One of the very key things that Citroen managed to do from 1925 to 1934 is advertise right on the front of the Eiffel Tower and this is something that not many people have had the opportunity at all to do!
As we can see without going into things too much even in the first few years of this astounding company there was just so much accomplished. It is great to see a company like this one still around today although you don’t see many lease vans by them! If one is getting a new car you should certainly consider Citroen!
